2010 Welcome Message
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I welcome you to the 47th Annual Space Coast Art Festival. This year we are excited to present 250 exceptional artists. There’s something for everyone here – from extraordinary painters to talented woodworkers and jewelers. We also continue to offer artistic opportunities for young, budding artists at our Young-At-Art booth, where children can participate in free, hands-on arts and crafts projects, and with our Saturday Margaret Heins Student Art Show, showcasing the value of quality art education in our Brevard County schools.
Our success is dependent on the dedicated volunteers who work year-round to plan and organize the Festival. From our first-rate office manager, Christy Davis, to our wonderful and hard-working Board of Directors and hundreds of weekend volunteers, our community of Cocoa Beach pulls together to make this Festival possible. I am so proud to be part of it.
Thank you to all Festival sponsors and community partners, as well as the Brevard County Commission, the Brevard Cultural Alliance, and the City of Cocoa Beach. We also owe special thanks to the citizens and businesses of Cocoa Beach for allowing us to close off the streets and fill them with artists and participants. During your stay, I encourage you to take advantage of all the wonderful things Cocoa Beach has to offer, from great restaurants and nightclubs to beautiful beaches. Grab a surfboard, bicycle, fishing pole, or a kayak and extend your stay in our community.
Lastly, thank you visitors, both local and from out of town, who appreciate and encourage the arts in our community. In a time of tightening budgets, it is so important that we keep the arts alive. Your support of the arts and the artists exhibiting in our Festival is very appreciated.
Sincerely,
Diane Kirschenbaum

Space Coast Art Festival, (SCAF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization governed by an all volunteer Board of Directors. In 1963, a small group of artists and local community leaders, formed the first 'Cocoa Beach Sidewalk Art Show'. Sponsored by the City of Cocoa Beach and supported by the Cocoa Beach Woman's Club, the art show thrived for several years. In 2010, the festival drew over 50,000 visitors.
