About the Artist
Sharon Schindelwig was inspired to begin painting 12 years ago, after noticing a beautiful view in central Florida and wanting to preserve it in oil so she could always enjoy it. A photograph, she felt, just wasn’t enough. She chose oil paint for its richness of color and now enjoys painting scenic views of local landscapes, farms, and even people’s homes by request.
Entirely self-taught, Sharon is thrilled with the process of discovering how to create a scene on her own. While she has no immediate plans to take formal lessons, she is open to whatever the future may bring.
