The Space Coast Art Festival is one of Central Florida’s most beloved art events—and it wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers! We’re looking for enthusiastic, creative, and community-minded individuals to help us bring this extraordinary event to life.

Volunteering with SCAF isn’t just about giving your time—it’s about having fun, meeting new people, and being part of something truly special. Whether you’re a master planner, a social butterfly, or someone who simply loves art, we’ll help you find the perfect role to match your skills and schedule.

See details on the roles for event volunteers at the bottom of this page.

Ways to Get Involved

Fundraising, Community, and Partner Engagement

Love networking and making connections? This is your chance to shine! Help us secure sponsorships, plan fun fundraising events, or organize entertainment and activities for festivalgoers. Whether you’re a natural communicator or an event enthusiast, this is a great way to bring people together and build community.

Marketing and Communications

Are you the creative type? Join our marketing team and help tell the story of the festival! From crafting social media posts and managing the website to snapping festival photos, there are plenty of ways to use your talents. This is a great opportunity to share your creativity while connecting with art lovers across the Space Coast.

Artists and Judging

If you’re passionate about the arts and love getting to know creative people, this team is perfect for you. Help with artist registration, outreach, and coordinating judging activities. It’s an exciting way to support incredible talent and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Festival Site Operations

For those who love a hands-on challenge, site operations is where it’s at! From planning layouts to organizing parking and cleanup, you’ll be at the core of making the festival flow. If you enjoy problem-solving and seeing your hard work come to life, this is the role for you.

Volunteer Coordination

Are you a people person who loves getting others involved? Help us organize the amazing volunteers who make the festival possible. You’ll play a key role in reaching out to past volunteers, matching new ones with roles they’ll love, and keeping the energy high throughout the event.

Student Art Show

Support the next generation of artists by helping with the Student Art Show! From organizing entries and displays to working with schools and judges, you’ll play a vital role in showcasing young talent. If you love inspiring creativity, this is a rewarding way to get involved.

Festival Event Volunteers

Looking to get involved but can’t commit long-term? Festival Weekend Volunteer opportunities are a fantastic way to contribute to the magic of the event while fitting into your busy schedule. These roles are hands-on, fun, and perfect for anyone who wants to support the festival for just a day or two.

Here are some of the ways you can help during the festival weekend:

  • Welcome, Information & Survey Team: Welcome guests as they enter the festival area. You may hand out Program Guides or other printed material and provide directions to guests. If you are assigned to do surveys, please approach as many guests as you can to ask the survey questions.
  • T-Shirt and Poster Sales: Assist with merchandise sales. Accept payments for Festival T-shirts or posters. Use the cash box to collect payment and make change. If the customer is using a credit card, you will direct them to the person with the card reader (you will be trained).
  • Face Painting: Get creative by painting fun designs on kids’ faces or hands. The supervisor will inform you what is needed, the materials to use and how to engage the children and their parents.
  • Artist Assistant: Circulate among the artists to distribute water and snacks to the artists. Ask if the artists have any needs to be relayed to the festival team.  Great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours.
  • Booth Sitter: Circulate among the artists to ask if anyone needs a booth sitter.   Role is simply to inform visitors the artist will return soon and monitor the safety of the valuable art displayed. Booth sitters must be over 18.

Festival weekend volunteers are vital to ensuring everything runs smoothly. Whether you can spare just a few hours or a full day, your time and energy will make a big impact!
